“Goodnight! Behave yourself, boy!”-Who said this and to whom? What did the speaker mean by saying “Behave yourself”? How did the boy react at last?

The above mentioned line was said by Mrs Jones to Roger. By saying “Behave yourself to Roger, Mrs Jones actually warned him so that in future he could differentiate between right and wrong and follow his path of action accordingly. Mrs Jones’ love and affection towards Roger, surprised him. For a few moments, the young lad was at a loss for words because he could not understand how to express his emotions for Mrs Jones. Though Roger wanted to say a lot to her, he only managed to utter two words-“Thank you”.
